Sometimes there is so much going on that, let’s be honest, you don’t have time for planning or prioritisation. Your day is a mad scramble.
The upside is it’s easier to get into flow, passing time in a deep state of concentration, ticking things off your to do list one by one by one.
The downside is that you’re probably uptight and stressed, working against some seemingly unachievable deadline.
You don’t know how things will look in the end, what will remain undone, who you’ll disappoint.
When you enter this state, you’re living a form of chaos and unpredictability.
How do you control for it?
I don’t think you can.
But you can breathe deeply, smile widely, laugh loudly (at yourself if you need to).
Take one task after another, put one foot in front of another, and let some simple things go.
Today, I’ve let go looking sensible, gone out to get food covered in cobwebs.
I had to let it go. Winston here is giving me a funny look though.
